Saturday 20 June – Joint concert with The Melodians
What a great night we had! Many thanks to everyone who came, helped, donated to the raffle. It looks like we will do well for Veterans’ Growth and St. Michael’s Hospice. It was also great to have one of the trustees of Veterans’ Growth come and hear us. Speaking of which – here’s a little taster of our Andrew Lloyd Webber medley finale: Jesus Christ: Superstar.
We are delighted to be performing with The Melodians Choir this summer and look forward to seeing lots of people. We have a great raffle including prizes donated by M&S, Feathers Wild Bird Care, The Orchard Cafe & Kitchen, Asda, The Coffee Box, Move It or Lose It (older adults exercise class), Choir Director Ailsa Vinson (professional singing lesson) and local potter Keith Harding. There will also be lots of other goodies helping to raise money for our charities: Veteran’s Growth and St. Michael’s Hospice.

Thursday 26 March 2026 – Hastings Music Festival
We had a fantastic evening at the Hastings Musical Festival at the White Rock Theatre! Battle Community Singers were proud to take part in the Adult Community Choirs class, performing Bohemian Rhapsody and Baba Yetu — a beautiful musical setting of the Lord’s Prayer in Swahili (meaning “Our Father”). While we didn’t come away with a placing this time, we were delighted to receive a commendation for our performance — something we’re incredibly proud of. Most importantly, we had an amazing time singing together and sharing the experience. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
